BUSY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

This weekend is a very busy time for Somerset Cheese Company.

As well as our usual Farmers Markets on Saturday morning we are attending extra foodie festivities over the Bank Holiday week end.

On Sunday 4th May we will be at The Ring O Bells, Compton Martin near Bristol for the Somerset Cheese and Cider Fayre.    The Fayre runs from noon ’til dusk and boasts numerous local cider and cheese makers attending.

On Monday 5th May amazingly we will be in two places at once!!

One of us will be at The Lyme Regis Food Festival,  held in a large marquee on the beach.  A fantastic setting and a lovely place to spend the day!

The other will be at The 155th  North Somerset Show,  Held at Wraxall near Bristol.  Always a cracking day here!

The cheeses from Somerset Cheese Company are firm favourites with our customers, the different varieties of milk used to make the cheeses is a big factor in this with each type having its own distinctive flavour.  My personal favourite is Rainbows Gold with its rich curd and sticky pungent rind, it is quite different from any other local cheese and a great addition to the range!

As well as consistently making fantastic tasting cheese, Phillip and Anita have been lovely people to work with, over the years they have given a novice deli owner invaluable help with great advice based on their wealth of knowledge and lots of support with numerous tasting events both in the deli and out at festivals.
